Seems like the closed thread would have been a good place to report when it's back up before closing it but meh, I guess it could always be re-opened.

Don't feed the trolls..... enough said.

Can a Mod please close this thread and we'll open a new one when Amibay is back online?

This thread is turning into an "Elvis is still dead" thread....

It's a fair observation...
The way I look at it, there are lots of forums on the internet. Even quite a few Amiga forums.
And many different moderation methodologies...
Amibay is much more of a stickler for the rules. Considering their emphasis on trading, I think this makes sense..

There are some forums that are slightly less strict.
And there are some forums that appear to have virtually no moderation.. ;-)

End result is that there is a place for everyone; and for many, there are several places...

I appreciate a tighter run forum, so I really like EAB and Amibay,
But I really enjoy some of the people on one of the other forums that is ...er.. less moderated... So I frequent there also... At times, it drives me crazy, but I accept it for what it is because I enjoy some of the people.

Do I wish it was more moderated? Not sure.. I did wish that for a while.. But I think I accept it more for what it is now...

Are there people who want Amibay to be less moderated.. Maybe :-) But it's part of the framework of what Amibay is, and I'm glad we have that.....

All the forums moderated the same way would be kind of boring...

IMHO..

p.s. Amibay is still down.. ;-) :-)
p.p.s. If I get a vote, can a mod leave this thread open.. I like it... ;-)

Hmmm... It seems Amibay has even dissapeared from Google search results! Sounds a bit worrying

Sorry to 'feed the trolls' thats not my intention at all.

I'd just like to say that this thread is just evolving into a discussion, like all conversations do when you're waiting for something, people are engaged in the discussion and it will pass the time until that 'Amibay is back' message comes.

I'm happy whether this stays or goes but it would be nice to leave it open IMO provided we can stay away from arguing.
