More than one floppy drive on CDTV?

I'm trying to get the dual drive (DF0+DF1) feature on my HxC floppy emulator working, but I can't seem to figure it out. I've posted a message on the HxC forum but it has got me thinking, it is possible to have more than one real floppy drive working on a CDTV at the same time?

This would be one floppy connected to the floppy port (as DF0) and another drive plugged into the back of that (as DF1)

Back in the day, when I had A500/A1200 I always had an external floppy, but that was working in conjunction with the internal DF0 drive.

It is is possible to have DF0 and DF1 on a CDTV then it could be something wrong with the HxC set-up or perhaps the floppy controller that I pulled out of an old external drive.

So it seems that the CDTV can have DF1 (and more), so now I'm wondering if the HxC connected to the external floppy controller can function as two drives coming off one controller, considering the daisy-chain socket at the back of the controller is not connected.
