Problems with A2000 and GVP Impact II SCSI 2

HI just bough a GVP Impact II SCSI 2 and when I put it in my machine it won't boot up while the J4 (boot jumper) is closed. I noticed sometimes the red power light flashes too when its in this state. If I take of the J4 jumper the A2000 boots into the workbench screen ok.

Its 6.2 motherboard with 3.1 Workbench.

Any ideas what the problem is ?

seems it cannot read boot-rom to ram, try to push it, or gently remove it and clean contacts on the socket and rom

Hi thanks for the advice. Hmmm I tried re-seating the rom but I will try to get some IPA to clean it with.
