A1200 Problems

Ok I've finally got my finger out and tried getting it going after an extended period of the tower sitting on my living room floor.

And it doesn't want to play (its not funny I know...)

I have a Prebuilt CF with OS 3.9 Classic WB (which works, I've just booted it in Winuae ) However when I try and connect it to the A1200 via my CF adapter... nada. Not a sausage - well thats not entirely true, I get the indivision splash screen and nowt else.

Before I panic and possibly break something (if not done so already) I thought I better stop for the night and post here what I have tried thus far.

Booting with the CF connected gets me nowhere, however I get some joy with nothing on the IDE.
By that I mean I get a Kickstart screen, and the Floppy drive makes its noise.

I should explain. In the course of my "building" this thing, muggins here managed to bend several of his IDE pins flat - nasty I know that'll teach me to try doing an in case build... Big fingers, small space

I have managed to straighten the aforementioned pins and all seem perfectly firmly in place, however I realise that the bending may not have done them much good and I may have damaged something else (please no!)

I'm waiting for daylight before I have another look, and I will take the motherboard out and inspect it to make sure nothing has burned, although I didn't see/smell anything untoward. I havent tried pulling/reseating the KS ROMS, would that help.

Any greatly appreciated

Andrew

@Rkauer Yes I think I can - I've just found a 2.5 HD although I cant remember whats on it

@Cosmicfrog I think I did (set as IDE0) although Its been a while so *shrugs* Is there any way to check or is it a re-format ?

Will post back when I get the HD going (if!)

Cheers
