octamed wav rendering

Hi eab!

I have managed to recover, at least partially, a bunch of octamed modules that I wrote in the nineties. Some of them are even listenable...

So, does anyone have a "simple" way to batch-render each song (or ideally each track of each song) with modern/ancient technology?

I have not found a reliable player/renderer to date. I don't mind which OS is needed, or rolling my sleeves up to do some scripting, I just want faithful renders without going down the manual sampling route.

I'll provide more technical specs if this is even possible.

Thanks in advance!

You could try Mod plug tracker. I used it for the same purpose and it did a job well and is capable for more if you want to alter something. Google and download it, it's free.

Modplug certainly is a good program

Also do not discount Octamed Soundstudio on the PC!

hello again, thanks for the suggestions, I ended up finding that xmp-cli with libxmp seem to do reasonable renders for what i need when using a mac (windows wasn't to hand but i don't recall modplug playing octamed MMD1s back?).

am about to write some nodejs to spit out all the separate tracks for each mod in a folder (makes remastering each track a lot simpler) if anyone is interested I will post when done. i wrote some noddy script to find all mods in my (Disk)Salvaged folder too if of use.

I have a load of Protracker, Octamet, Digibooster modules along with a mix og S2m, XM and IT files, I retro liten to them on the old A1200 but for quality I use MODplug

http://create-music.net/modplug-trac...our-own-music/

It plays all the files I need and you can save in different formats, or have I missed something?
