Opl2lpt
A new external sound device for the PC, yea, PC...
But, would it work under PC-Task? http://www.serdashop.com/OPL2LPT AFAIK the parallel port is available under PC-Task, so the device might work. Any clue? |

I have one. I even tried this but did not worked under PC-Task, PCx..
I think these devices (such as OPL2LPT or Covox) are controlled directly on hardware level so emulation can not operate these devices unless it has direct support coded in them. Only way to have adlib or wavetable midi sound in PC-Task is thru the Golden Gate 2 Bus card which is supported by PC-Task. I have one and it really works: [ Show youtube player ] |

I doubt as probably LPT is supported not in bit bang mode but rather as BIOS calls and in original PC you may use 8237 DMA on parallel port but for sure not on Amiga - search for MIDI version of OPL.
