Top-down vehicle battles in city streets
Hi all,
I've been wondering about this game for a while. Used to play it at my uncle's place when I was a kid... Pretty darn sure it was 1-2 player game. I can easily remember the top-down view of city streets, and there'd be both computer-controlled vehicles and player controlled. I can't remember what the objective was. I think you could choose a different vehicle or a team or something, maybe different-colored teams like red, blue, green. It was entirely sprite animations, no vector or pseudo-3d stuff. If I saw a screenshot I'd know instantly. I already scanned through Lemonamiga and HOL but I just couldn't find it. |

Hmmm, looking at the screenshots at http://hol.abime.net/2521/screenshot , that looks very familiar and I definitely played that game.. I'm not 100% sure if that's the game I'm picturing in my mind though... I'll search some gameplay footage or more screenshots, to try and verify for sure. Thanks for that quick response! I'll see if this is the one... (Hopefully I'll find footage on YouTube)...

It must be Motor Massacre... I just don't have any memory of going into any building interiors, and I totally thought it was multiplayer, but it otherwise matches my memories pretty accurately. It just doesn't seem nearly as cool as I thought it was. hahah Ah well, consider this one "Found" I guess! Thanks IFW.
Galahad - APB was one that my uncle had but I didn't play it much. Thanks for reminding me of it though |

Unlikely but could it have been Payback (2001)?
http://hol.abime.net/3511 Or Badlands (1990) http://hol.abime.net/15 |
