Configuration change, ey? Did they upgrade to W10?

WOW! Fallout 4 has a MASSIVE 17% off and the Season Pass has 0%, what a deal!

That is to be expected sometimes with new releases.

I would have liked that 17 % discount but I paid full price twice, once for Steam and another for my Pip-Boy Edition

Why?

Just looked on Game and Fallout 4 is £25 for the physical copy (Pipboy Edition is £100) yet it's £40 for the download? Season Pass is still the rip off £25 so no saving there!

Season pass gives you access to all future DLC, you save a little on the total package eventually.

Depends! Look at Alien Isolation as the Season Pass includes 5 DLC yet there is 7 DLC total!

Have you also noticed in some games they list all the DLC for that game with the prices then sneakily add the Season Pass (if the game has one) as a DLC as well so if you click 'Add all DLC to cart' you actually buy some DLC TWICE by buying the Season Pass!

Example: Borderlands The Pre-sequel. 4 of the DLC are in the Season Pass and cost £3.99 each, so £15.96, but the Season Pass only costs £12.49 with those 4 DLC already included! So if you 'Add all DLC to cart' you're paying £15.96 for something you've already got in the Season Pass!

I just wonder how many people just blindly buy all the DLC without checking first!

I've seen that too, so I first purchase the Season Pass and see what, if any leftover DLC there is

That's yanking it out of context by generalizing it, this is specifically about Fallout 4 with Bethesda behind it, they have always delivered so far and I see no reason why that is going to change for this game.

But Fallout 4 is the first Bethesda developed game to offer a Season Pass so you can't make that comment without knowing WHAT DLC will be included.

Did I just completely miss it while scanning my wishlist a few dozen times, or is Far Cry 4 now suddenly on a hefty discount while previously it was not? The total number of games on sale seems to be rising steeply with the days too.

You can to some degree since it is Bethesda

Not sure, I have not been looking too much since I don't get paid until Thursday but I wonder if this is the case with some games and/or publishers.

Was tempted by FarCry 3/4 but when you read further it needs UGay installed so stuff that!

Bought Alien Isolation and the extras as per my previous rant, plus Wolfenstein Old Blood/New Order instead!

I get you, that is a pain for sure when required to use *other* services like Uplay

So what :s UPlay is just another program. I have a dozen games that use it as an alternative launcher and guess what: nothing bad happens. Nowadays the games boot up directly from Steam anyway, no need for a second click. That's even better than games with a built-in launcher like the Bethesda games.

Just another program out of how many 'other' programs you have to install just get a bloody game to run!

Let's see: we have Steam, UPlay, Origin, Battlenet, Rockstar Social Club, Capsule/Playfire, Desura, RaceNet, GFWL, Impulse/Stardock, Kalypso, ManiaPlanet, BigFish Game Manager, iWin Game Launcher and fuck knows how many others!!

Just GOG and only steam DRM will do me fine

I would love to have it just that way too but many of the publishers out there want to monetize their library instead of using what is already available
