cm8833-11 monitor has died

As title, yesterday it was working today its not Is there anything obvious i can check or is it a trip to the tv repair shop ?

hmm ,the switch was dodgy on mine needed a couple of pushes too get going , how can i check this ? The fuse that sits next to the switch had blown as well ? have replaced this now.

Chances are if the fuse has blown it might be another component on the board which has gone.

The switches for these are obsolete now, I had a nightmare in tracking one down - ended up just using the broken switch (it never stayed in, just had to wedge a piece of plastic under the switch so it'd stay on!)

You could wire in a switch from a ATX power supply for instance or just wire it in a way so that it'd be on all the time and just switch it on/off from the wall. Couldn't say how though as I don't have the schematics for the 8833. Probably best to let someone with experience fettle it tbh.
