Have read about something called 'Project Ascension' which is supposed to be an open sourced game launcher that unifies all that extra 'game client' crap! Can't actually find anything that fully explains it only this page on reddit

I think this is a download link for Project Ascension. Untested.

I won't be testing it as I won't buy stuff from EA/Ubi! Only Steam (without 3rd party DRM) and GOG or any other DRM free vendor!

So I was right, Far Cry 4 was only on sale for that day as it isn't any longer today - the highlighted sales apparently contained hidden flash sales :/

I nearly bought Far Cry 4 until I saw it needs a 64bit os. Seems to be the case with many recent games. My PC is aging badly.

A mate bought a Linx1010B tablet, Quadcore 64bit Atom CPU, 2 GB RAM, 1280x800 IPS display, 32bit Win10 Home and showed me it playing TrackMania 2: Valley off steam without any major issues other than a bit of stutter on ingame cutscenes! Was £140 off Amazon, the 1010B has the keyboard dock included!

And there you go, DDNI, maybe this purchase would force you into an upgrade or you could play it on your son's shiny new rig

Ah young padawan, there are a lot of things that can be done with Steam games, modding and otherwise

Might I suggest checking out www.nexusmods.com so you can review for yourself the mods you would like to filter for them

So what did everyone buy in the sale then?

I bought:

Alien Isolation + Season Pass + Crew Expendable DLC + Last Survivor DLC
Dead Mountaineers Hotel
Salammbo: Battle for Carthage
Tomb Raider
Wolfenstein: The New Order
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Total: £33.36
