Cd32-200.iso

If anyone is interested, I've finished a 200 game CD32 compilation CD. For details see this thread at emu-uk:

http://www.total-amiga.com/Vbulletin...=&threadid=157

(and no, this one does not cost 30 pounds )

Can you post the screenshot here, as well, since you have to be registered at EmuUK in order to see it there.

Sure, it's a severely compressed jpeg but it is just to give people an idea of the menus:

Not yet - I'll download it from The Big Bopper's FTP today.

Good work Gary.

This is awesome news. I've only recently got the CD32100.iso and it has breathed new life into my CD32. You can't beat playing Xenon 2 on a big telly. Well done and a big thumbs-up.

Note that this was the first 100 game compilation. I don';t think the new one (200 games) is on Edonkey/mule/fish/cow/etc.. yet.

Anyway, why not compress the file? You'd save some people a lot of downloading time.

Bloody great stuff! Would be fab if all appropriate games were put to CD32 compilation cds!

What info do you show? DO you get it from HOL (would be great if you had) and how do you write this all in?

Really great job Gary

eMule/eDonkey heavily compress the files during transfer don't worry about that (on a par with or better than WinRAR can do)

Its really a matter of seeing which games will work, what needs to be done for them to start and then adding the details to the menu. The tricky part is downloading and testing the games which takes a lot longer than it seems. Unfortunately there are many games (even WHDload installs) which absolutely refused to work (Cool Spot).

I stole the info from: E.A.G.E.R (Every Amiga Game Ever Released - http://www.jgb.abelgratis.co.uk/) I hope they're not too pissed off for that I really wanted to show ratings and game descriptions in the text section and couldn't find that in H.O.L. (I stole some screenshots though )

Maybe there are. Follow the link I mentioned in the first post of this thread for the full details (no www pages yet unfortunately).

Some of the release years from EAGER are incorrect. For example, the Monkey Island 1&2 release years should be 1991 and 1992, not 1991 and 1990. This is a common mistake, because in-game the copyright date is listed - which is the original PC release date. The Amiga versions came one year later.

Ghosts 'n' Goblins was released in 1990, not 1988 (after Ghouls 'n' Ghosts on the Amiga). Cabal was 1989, not 1988.

Also, if you are interested, I have loads of Amiga Power mini-reviews of games - they are due to go into the HOL, but RCK doesn't have the time at the moment!

Yes I noticed that but I think I was too lazy to check for the real ones. Hopefully most are accurate.

Unless there are problems with CD32-200.ISO I doubt I'll do any more compilations for awhile (also my CD32 is dying), but it would be good for H.O.L if it also had descriptions/mini-reviews of games.

Mini-reviews and magazine scores are forthcoming. Dunno when, but they are coming.
