Unreleased Zool animated intro

As discussed in this thread I've dug out the animated intro from a canned GameCube/PS2 version of Zool from my archives and uploaded it to youtube.

Back in 2004/05 Zoo Digital Publishing attempted a remake of the iconic Amiga platformer - Zool. They worked with DDI (Data Design Interactive) on a 3D Gamecube/PS2 version of the franchise. The game sucked bad, and got canned (luckily). DDI changed the lead character in the game from Zool to a gingerbread man, and released the notoriously bad Ninjabread Man instead (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninjabread_Man ).

This is the animated intro video produced for this Zool remake.

Let's hope that one day, Zool gets reintroduced in the fine quality remake that he deserves, or left alone as a cult classic :-)

Would be interesting to see the whole video converted with that filter, and maybe a reduction in frame rate. What s/w did you use to filter the frames, s2325?

The video is kinda done in a similar cartoony style to Viewtiful Joe (Capcom) on the Gamecube - a great game, though I found it a bit too hard in places.

Love the retro style video stills s2325

Someone should graft this on to the start of the CD32 version.

(ducks for cover)
