You're probably right Retro

Just need to figure out how

...I'm cool on Windows computers (being a 3rd line Technical Analyst) and also managed to figure out to install / setup a HDD for "FM Towns" but for some reason I'm a bit useless when it comes to Amiga HDFs

Should really do some reading / gathering of knowledge into this.

Hello guys,
i have sad news to give you... sadly Leathered is not with us anymore.
He asked me to keep is illness secret, that's why this thread was so quiet.
Now with his wife's agreement, i tell you the bad news. I don't want to talk too much about it. He did a facebook page about his battle :
https://www.facebook.com/Breaking-Go...94950/?fref=ts

And a local newspaper which talk about it. : http://www.stourbridgenews.co.uk/new...e/?ref=mr&lp=9
There is a phone number at the end of the article if some of you want to help his 2 children and his wife.

I wrote all of this with his wife agreement, she didn't ask the close of the thread.

R.I.P. Paul.
PS: the last time i talked to him in his house, he told me that he wanted to give you a last gift, a final fight aga wip for christmas, but he didn't had the time, the cancer began to progress too fast.

OMG; that's absolutely horrendous news

Poor man; really feel for his family. And to think I'm also 39 years old...

I'm gutted to read this. He used to live round my neck of the woods. We had a chat about Blitz Basic on here and we met up a couple of times and spent the evening down the pub talking for hours about the Amiga and programming (much to the bemusement of those sitting nearby) amongst other things, such as music and his love of that too. He was really supportive and complimentary of my work with Amiga Future and my game projects and sent me some suggestions for code improvements for Maxwell not even a year ago. Likewise I spent a lot of time on his game and intended to interview him for an article on his work when it got further.

When he and his family moved he insisted I go and visit a retro event up there and stay overnight at his place (Wolverhampton way I think); sadly I never got the opportunity to attend.

Gutted he's gone at such a young age, and most of all for his young family. Horrible. RIP

Wow, that´s hard.

Talked to him recently about the translation for ToGII. His wife and he also translated the first game.

All the best for her and their family.

Terrible news. I chatted here on the forum with him once or twice, seemed like he had a good sense of humour. May he test in peace.
