Dungeon Master WHD saving probs
I've installed Dungeon Master using WHD and in the readme file it says you can save to the hard drive but when I try to save it will only save to floppy. Is it a case of editing a config file??? Am I missing something very easy?

I have a feeling that the game is been saved to ram because it will load up if I restart and it doesn't matter if there is a floppy inserted in either drive. But if I switch off then load the game it can't find the save game. I'm confused

Game saves to RAM and will only save to HDD when You exit game using exit key for example *. On real Amiga I haven't any problems.

problem solved
I found a different HD installer off Aminet that also includes a savedisk installer as well and it seems to be working fine. Is the latest WHD missing this or have I missed something? Anyway once more into the dungeons - been about 10 years since I played it and I can't wait to finish it.

hmmmm
I've tried the uploaded version and I get the same problem. I'm not a techy coder sort of person but I'm sure the game is been saved to ram. When you save the game the hard drive or floppies aren't been accessed (no flashing lights) but you can exit the game and restart and it will load your save game. However if you swith the computer off then try loading the save game it can't find it. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, indeed. Remember, sometimes patchers makes install with limited OS swaps so when You saving something in such games like Dungeon Master or Genesia make sure that You quit game using QUIT botton. When You quit You can see that Yours HDD is saving data to HDD.
