You can get twice that by that stage (see my score below). There are plenty of hidden areas in the castle level that reward with both fruit, jewels and time - that is in part how I score so much, though it looks like I won't qualify this year.

Not as it stands but if two more people enter then we get a full house of 16 through to the next stage so if luck is on your side you can still get in

Got to the last level of Egypt.

After the last level of world 2 things eased up a bit for world 3, but the difficulty went back up to balls hard by the second level of Egypt. That or I had too many beers.

I feel safe, but heh.. it was hard to get started because I knew it'll take few hours to finish the game, but now when I did it once, I got in the mood and it actually would be fun to play again This game is just so excellent and fun to play.. and it keeps the interest with good themes in levels. You get hooked every time. Egypt has nice hidden areas too.. even the first level And it's always pleasure to find those places where you can knock coins. Those can be found from different objects on different levels. For example in forest levels you can jump from cloud to cloud and end up place with loots of coins coming up Sorry if this is too much tips to "wrong" side, but anyway...

I've yet to finish the game and don't know where every secret is.. I tend to lose a lot of lives searching for secrets.. this time I just focus on getting as far as possible - just to be sure of qualifying

Surprised I made it this far considering how many beers I've had..

From your earlier post it looks like you've been drinking for 9 straight hours

Round over, and 12 people qualify for the next stage, which will work out as four groups of three players. Well done to all. Here's how the seedings look:

Top seeds: Harry, jPV, mipe, Ze Emulatron
Second seeds: ChrisN82, mailman, ED-209, lifeschool
Third seeds: capehorn, Parpala, john1979, Graham Humphrey

The draw will follow in the new round thread shortly...

I'm glad I didn't try again today, my best ever in Superfrog is 1.2million, but to qualify I would have needed more than 1.5 million.

I'll take a brake for a while methinks. Congratulations to all that qualified, I look forward to seeing who triumphs this year

That was a pretty close run thing. I wasn't going to bother trying for a score +2million but I'm glad I did now.

Solid Gold is a fantastic game. Much better than the Frog. Looking forward to playing it again.

Agreed. Really looking forward to having another, longer crack at Solid Gold. In some repsects it's a shame that didn't come first as it would probably have attracted more players seeing as it isn't as long-winded as Superfrog.
