Directory Opus Switch from Workbench

Hi.

Dummy question.. how the hell do i switch back to Dopus from the workbench.

Amos is Amiga A and Personal Paint is Amiga M .. long time since i have used workbench and even though Dopus is iconised i have to launch it all the time..hotkey would be great.

Any help appreciated.

I just click on the top-right screen icon to switch between screens.

-EDIT- Sorry, did you mean how to launch it in the first place, or switch back to it once it's already open?

If you have set "Workbench Clone" screen mode in your Dopus preferences, you can leave it open and change the screen by clicking on the right corner of the screen.

First we would need to know how have you switched away from DOpus? Have you iconified it or have you just brought another screen to front?

Amiga-m is the global hotkey to swap screens, so it should generally work for that. And Amiga-n brings up Workbench. AMOS uses a non-standard Amiga-a combination, which isn't used with anything else.

But if you have iconified the program, then swapping screens doesn't help, but there was a hotkey for iconify/uniconify in DOpus settings IIRC, so check/config that.

What version of Dopus is also interesting here, as Dopus 5 can be set in WB integration mode

Slightly off topic but its wonderful that Opus has lasted and moved on to the PC, back in the Amiga days it was the centre of the machine, everything I did was on a toolbar in Opus. When the PC version came out I was over the moon. And now version 12 is the current centre of my PC, again, everything is ran from it..

Worth every penny (well I think so).

Thanks for all your help.. Everyone that responded..

Version 4.1

I usually iconify it.. but that worked by just closing the window.. and then Amiga M did the trick

I still use it on the PC for sure..

@Mclane - I used to attend the Adelaide Amiga User Group in South Australia back in the 90's and Jonathan Potter the author used to attend quite a bit. Still using it 30 years on

Thanks again all.

I am on the same version. I'm sure I got it off Humble Bundle and then upgraded to pro on the cheap..

Have you found any decent themes?

Hi BippyM,

I'm not really a themey person, I know Leo Davidson on the Opus site has a resource with theme's (pretty sure anyway).

A long time ago I used to use a not so real version and the protection kicked in with the old Cowboys and Indians popping up, then after becoming leggit I was sat there and saw a funny animation and nearly choked, quick email to them and it was a running cat on the copy completion percentage bar when you are copying and its just an easter egg type thing, darn near choked on my tea when I saw it.
