fastest! transfer tool: disk -> ADF ?!?
Hi guys !
Haven't been here for ages due to limited time (unfortunately ), so I am currently not really up to date of which software exists, but I'd like to know which is the fastest tool for converting Amiga disks to ADF files (and maybe vice versa) ? I want to convert some old disk in the next days and I still use old transdisk, but I bet there must be some faster tool around ?! Doesn't matter if it is GUI or just plain DOS, just speed is important ! Thanx a lot ! |

I use TSGUI, but it might not be the fastest...it's still far from slow
A lot of people seem to suggest ADFBlitzer too (not sure if I spelled it correctly, or if there is a space in the name). PZ. |

I'd say the time to read/write an ADOS disk is pretty constant as all OS friendly ones will use trackdisk.device. Programs that are slower maybe do more error checking, compression or are just lame

I use TSGUI too, it's still in development. ADF Blitzer is old and not save enough imho.

The Latest version of TSGUI has a multi-disk option. With it you can read one disk after the other without intervention. You only have to change disks. Of course multiple disk drives are supported.
Note that it is still in beta state. There might be some flaws. |

Welcome to the club
(even though I do not dare think of being able to code Amiga C just because I have some knowledge in dos/win32 architecture; I just do not expect it to be the very same at all) |
