Who has a picasso IV?

I wanted to do a poll but couldnt work out how to do it

I'm trying to find out how many readers have a Picasso IV.

Why?

I am looking into the practical possibility of bringing back the Concierto addon, either as a direct clone, or a slightly improved design.

As a Classic Amiga user, with no Zorro slots left, no money or willingness to get a PCI solution, I was thinking that the Concierto would be a good way of getting 16-bit sound to my Amiga?

The owners to the rights to make Picasso IV addons are willing to allow a 3rd party production run / new product.

Anyone (seriously) interested?

There is no arbitration or bus mastering on the PCI bus making it less than useful.

The Concierto (despite reports to the contrary) is effectively a programmed I/O ISA device.

No. We're *thinking* of making old amiga hardware

Perhaps 50 or 100 Concierto's.

The cheapest way for a Picasso IV owner to add an AHI compatible 16-bit soundcard to their Amiga.

Not at this point in time.

But because it's just a codec and not a DSP or anything (i.e. no hardware MPEG audio decoding) it will be almost certainly lower priced than any sound card currently on sale (are there any on sale?).

We have neither the inclination or the time to produce anything other than a direct clone.

Happy

Soundcards for Amiga ? Delfina Flipper for 129 euro that you can connect to the clockport at an A1200 / Xsurf or to the expansion slot of an Individual Computers board, Repulse Zorro card for 159 euro and these are the ones I found in two minutes time
A 2nd hand Toccata goes on Ebay for 50 euro, sometimes more, sometimes less ...

Delfina / Repulse are both are a lot of money dont you think?

The Delfina Flipper is no use for Big-box-Amiga's who dont have an X-Surf.

I've seen the occaisional bargain on Tocatta cards....

They are not so cheap, that´s true, but I was just gently trying to answer your question "are there any on sale?"

I have a PicassoIV, too. Bought one recently. I'd be also interested in Concierto or any other add-ons PicassoIV.

I have a P-IV, no concertio though, but I doubt I would want one anymore as my A4000 rarely gets used since I got my µA1
