First one looks like it's CD1: but the other one .... God only knows

Maybe this should be a sticky renamed to 'Don't do any of this if you you want to successfully install Bloodwych's ClassicWB - Read at your own risk'

All leytond needs is a System.zip file made from within in WinUAE, which kind souls here seem to be able to provide.

Then all he has to do is burn the System.zip file to his CDRW, and use the shell command unzip (as found in the ClassicWB C drawer or can be extracted from the System.zip file itself) to extract the files Amiga side. All you have to type in shell after placing uzip in your C drawer is:

unzip -o CD0:System.zip -d DH0:

If your hard drive is called DH0: and your CDROM CD0:

leytond, what are your CDROM and hard drive partitions called in that dopus screen shot? I can't read them clearly. They certainly don't look like DH0: or CD0:?

So let's start with the basics. What is your Amiga bootable partition called? It's partition name should be DH0: - it's actual Workbench name can be anything. You rename it's partition name using HDtoolbox. It's Workbench name is given to it when you format it, or rename it in Workbench.

How big are your partitions? How many do you have? Let's rule out any 4GB size problems, because the install disk should have worked.

Sorry about popping in and out of this thread and throwing curve balls, but I'm really busy with work and real life stuff at the moment so my help is limited. If I'm completely not with the program (I haven't fully read this thread) ignore me. Oh and DemonHellraiser, nice one for trying to help.

I can't believe how long this thread has grown!
cd rom is cd1:
dh0: 2gig.
dh1: 10 gig.
dh2: 10 gig.
dh3: 10 gig.
in the pic i was extracting from cd1: do dh3: bits/system:
from this i was going to copy all the files to dh0: after i had formated dh0: from the origonal wb disks,
but it would not extract the files, ?????
dont ask me why all i can tell you is what is happening,

Can you imagine that there are people who try to figure out things themselves instead of asking people for help? When I started using computers there was no Google, no forums etc. You may figure out the rest yourself.

No, you must be using computers for only a short time then leytond Oh and StingRay certainly has a point there with the 'figure out things yourself'. I think all the spoonfeeding didn't help much...
