What CAR most represents the Amiga era (for you)?

Yep you heard me.

Knowing some of us share more than one passion here, and we (for the most part) all drive cars.

Just thought it would make an interesting question.

What car most represents the Amiga era (for you)?

Happy for tangents on the topic.

Could be the car you lusted after being as you may have been a child. The one on the poster on your wall? A TV hero car perhaps?

Of if you're of the slightly older, maybe it was your first car?

For me, so many possible answers to me own question especially when you throw TV cars into the mix. I mean...who Didn't want KITT (Pontiac Trans Am)?

There are attainable cars that I recall seeing around in the era and loving the look and sound of. Datsun 280ZX (possibly the most hated of all Z cars but I recall seeing them around, even in the UK). Porsche 944 would be another.

But to me, it has to be the great white buffalo. The one that got away and is now ballistic in price.

The car that just sums up that whole era for me, and that took pride of place on a poster on my wall AND featured in possibly my favorite game of all time.

The Ferrari Testarossa.

That's an easy one to answer! The 1991 Lotus Esprit Turbo. I vowed if I ever bought one I'd drive away with the Lotus 2 theme blaring on the stereo. It probably doesn't sum up the era but it's iconic to me because of my love of the game.

I did think about the Lotus as well. Another one of my fave games and an iconic car. Apparently they don't really convert into a submarine though. WHAT THE HELL? Did James Bond LIE?

hahaha. Well......I'd swear I'd do the same with the Outrun Sound Track if I ever get a Testarossa.

I did listen to it while driving my Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0TS, and that was fun enough too

My biggest mistake was listening to the NFS2 soundtrack in my Nissan 180SX, which was modified in the same way as my matching 240SX in game.

I was lucky to not loose my licence....or my life if I'm honest. Older and wiser now.

Fiat Tipo. 1988-1995

Symbolically, it was followed by iconic Multipla, that very well represents the dark era of Amiga (1998-2010)

Easy answer, even if not a "real" car

The car of "Another World" intro

I guess it's a Ferrari one

For me my old Fiat Panda New Dance - this is not her, mine was Black [1990/2000]

Very entrenched with my Amiga experience: i used it a lot to go around, like to meet other Quazar Members and fellow amigans, to go to Bit.Movie [italian 90s computer Graphics Festival]in Riccione on easter, to Pianeta Amiga [with my 1200 along me to buy parts], i did listen to mods in my ghetto blaster stereo beside me while i was driving, i also had a "I <3 AMIGA" decal that i made with a white marker on the back

Got its immortality in the Amiga animated short Night of the Living Wrecks (will insert the link once am not in the work firewall)
