The Vampire has native chunky modes. Also, when using AMMX2 vector instructions, it can process many operations in quadruplicate on 32 data registers using 16 address registers to keep track of it all on a 70 MHz 68080 Gold 2.8 core.

As for the Amiga reloaded, I only heard of proposed specs from the Amiga98 DevCon: 16-bit DDR2 chip RAM with a clock-quadrupled blitter. Maybe some other screen modes thrown in such as chunky 8 bit. One thing it would be hobbled by is a weaker CPU core on the A1200 compatible accelerator.

Seems like my wish was granted!
StarStruck final version for Amiga was released last month

That comparison video is even more irrelevant now.

You turn this topic into proving already known fact: that Amiga is better than ST.

...anyway, if somebody fish to read about "DSP on 3D" graphics, you can visit Atari-forum:
http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic...25174&start=25 (dml's posts)

this DSP thing remind me of effective but just pretentious implementation.

like in-cartridge chip of Star Fox (for SNES in 1993. in the name of "Super Fx chip"), Virtua Racing (for SEGA Megadrive in 1994. in the name of "SVP") and ATARI Jaguar itself just to seek better treat especially in polygon related for each real horse power.
abortive like sabre tiger.
