Just got an Indivision AGA 1200... BUT HELP!!

First off, YAY! Finally got it! And I got it for free... Seriously, from a friend.
I installed it in place, booted up my miggy with 1084S and flash-updated the FPGA to 1.5 (newest). Flashed well.
Rebooted, connected my VGA screen.. And BANG! Amazing!!

Edit: Tried another screen.. Now it's perfect! Wonder why it looks weird on the other screen...

But!!
The picture is rather non-sharp, and I see traces around windows and black text!
This is a very good and sharp screen, so it MUST be the indivision!
I've tried several modes... PAL, PAL hi-res, HighGFX 1024x768... All of them gives the traces. Tried to change Scanmode to x 1.00, same!

Let me get a pic (clicky for bigger) (the traces are MUCH more noticable IRL):

The only thing I can think of that you haven't mentioned in your post is to try a different VGA cable, and also to make sure that both connectors at the ends of the cable are fully pushed in and fastened with the thumb screws.

Steve.

I bet the video cable on that monitor is fixed... I know on my monitor I had to adjust a couple of settings to get it 100% dialed in.

Phase and Pixel clock.

I don't know if your other (blurry) monitor has those adjustments or not. Use the "Moire" pattern in a tool called "MonitorTest" off of aminet (I can zone it for you if you want) to get the Moire pattern to be solid instead of wavy. At least that was my issue.

I see you have ClassicWB ADV running! Very trick setup! Congrats!

Yeah, it was actually another brand screen that had been painted over with the Samtron brand. When he cleaned it, all the paint rubbed off, also, it changed the colour of the screen. And more curvy.

are the screens the same size or running in the same resolution? The first looks to be in a higher res. If so higher res = higher frequency and more interference with cheap cables...

First pic: 1024x768 (tried 640x480 on it, still the same)
Sec. pic: 640x480 (and very good in 1024x768 too)

Ok, worth checking....

Any issues with the first screen at low frequencies from other sources?
