TOSEC ISO - new maintainer

Thanks to crashdisk I've started getting involved in the ISO part of Amiga TOSEC (or you can blame him if you will ).

It's a field I feel has been neglegted a lot.

So before starting out, I have some questions for you who might have input.

I've noticed that the most common format being used is the CUE/BIN/WAV, ISO and then some minor ones.
While I prefer to have only 1 file for each CD this can cause problems with CD's also containing audio tracks, which excludes ISO for these.

There might also be CD's with more metadata (i.e. some copyprotection) that isn't dumped to ISO / CUE/BIN.

So now the question is:
Are any of you familiar with special CD's for Amiga that has this kind of metadata.

What is the general feeling towards using CUE/BIN towards some other format?

I have yet to decide whether using 2 formats or sticking to one.
Any input here is also very welcome.

I do not think that there are CDs protected on Amiga, so the ISO standard format is a logical choice.
In any case, do not forget extract sound tracks require suitable hardware, specialized software and good knowledge.
The goal is to make a perfect copy.
To give you an idea of the protocol:

Having separate audio track files has one nice thing under emulation: all files can be inside single zip and sound track files can still be unpacked separately on-demand which is much faster (and uses less memory) than unpacking whole huge package at startup.

There is no protections but some CDs may have CD+G or CD+MIDI data. (Does any official CDTV/CD32 CD use those?)

To make perfect copy you should concern also about pre gaps in audio tracks. So try Exact Audio Copy and CUETools 2.1.4.
