Help with Easynet
I tried to share a folder on my pc xp machine using my pcmcia card Wi-Fi network card. I want to use a adhoc network and I can ping to the pc and to the amiga 1200 that I use. When I open "host Manager" and add my pc with all configuration that seem ok , and click "connect"
I get a error : Mountlist STARTUP:felaktig mall ("template") This in in one window In another white window It says " Connecting to \\huljen-server\delat" witch is my PC with a folder called "delat" as shared folder. please help what's wrong, why cant I connect to my pc shared folder. |

not much help, but an easynet tutorial on amigakit website.
they talk about updading to latest prism2 version. easynet does also have a live-update feature, does such connect work, while the pc share is not accessible? on the pc side, is there a firewall, maybe you have to allow some services or things? |

There is no point installing Miami - your EasyNet TCP stack configuration is fine.
You need to enter all the correct details into the Connect To.. window to connect to a specific Workgroup and Share. Best first to not use password on the shared directory as simpler to initially set it up- you can always password it once it is working. |

Thanks for replay folks
I'm going to try to update to the latest prism 2 files for the network card.
Nobby_UK , you have a similar problem but you seem to get a connection to the PC but you cant see the shared folder. My problem is worse because I cannot connect at all ! It says Mountlist STARTUP: bad template ("template") What's this ? is it some file location that's wrong ? does Easynet store my settings some ware in a file? anyone have a clue ? LN |

It doesn't take a genius to work out that instructions for Windows 7 are going to be an enormous help to anyone unlucky enough to be running any version of Windows. Quote:

You haven't set it up properly. Are you able to connect to internet etc etc? Not really, The Amiga has unfortunately become harder in the sense people expect the OS to do everything for you. So when you need to enter any technical info, you are lost as you dont know what most of it is. So you end not learning anything. This is why I think we love the Amiga and the classic OS for that reason. Sure I used to play games, but I spent many many hours playing around with AmigaDOS commands and startup-sequences. Even now Im still learning new ways of doing stuff and commands. Never get that on any other OS. Last edited by FOL; 08 May 2014 at 12:25. |
