Is it me or this board does not clearly identify pin 1 on clockport header?
I guess those two GND marks on each end of the header might lead users to misunderstand correct ribbon cable position as well. A nice and clear "1" mark on whichever end pin 1 is will surely be most appreciated by clockport users, especially previous Delfina Flipper owners. |

Latest update is that clockport software driver has been completed now so it works on A1200. It was slow initially but has now been optimised in assembler to make it much faster.
Also some neat tricks with SPDIF and Paula have been built into the firmware. |

Will it work with OS4.1? Just out of curiosity because it's been a time I don't use it.

Yes, we are developing both AmigaOS 3.x and AmigaOS 4.1 Classic drivers. Prisma will add to the compatible audio card list for OS 4.1 users.

CDDA does not have a header, this is a raw file PCM intel.
The optical drive best connected to an external Line in mixer and only send signals, because AHI deteriorating sound quality. SongPlayer 1.53 can play audio CD in 14-bit on Paula without shit AHI. |

All optical drives I have owned in the last 20 years have had a TTL serial digital output for CDDA.
It would appear from what Amigkit has said that the Prisma has a digital input for digital mixing inside the DSP? |

http://www.vlsi.fi/fi/products/vs1063.html Mixer do what else, enough to read about audio codec in Prisma and see that it is the LINE1 LINE2/MIC (after all, it's obvious, that there is no problem with connecting external sound and mixing). |

The hardware Digital Mixing seems to really suck (16-bit mono?). But perhaps it can all be implemented in software on the DSP? This chip seems like a VERY strange choice. It's serial data interface must be the reason for it's choice. It seems a very low end choice for the a sound card. More like the MASPlayer. I look forward to seeing how it works and some posts from the software & hardware developers. Last edited by alexh; 04 March 2014 at 18:52. |

AmigaKit were kind enough to set my a prototype card so that I could try and update some of my ports to use it for playing back compressed music (eg ScummVM).
Ok got it working -> [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by NovaCoder; 06 March 2014 at 11:34. |
