Which Amiga repairer in Europe?

Hello!

Can you recommend a good and reliable Amiga repairer in the European Union? I am in Belgium, but I can send and receive by post, and packing is no problem for me.

My Amiga computers (various models from A500 to A4000) have not been used for a long time (between 10 and 20 years) and they still have their original capacitors (and sometimes leaking battery!), so before using them again I would like them to be maintained and repaired if possible, but this job is beyond my capabilities.

I have found the "Hardware repair services" sticky thread, Daedalus' list on robthenerd.com, and Amigakit's repair service, but I don't know who I should get in touch with in the first place.

Thank you for any help!

Jean

I recommend Hese (based in Finland) who's both on here and Amibay. Did a great job + quick with my A4000 MB that had leakage problems.

Thank you everyone for your advice, and Hese for your impressive and valuable works!

I will begin to dust my Amigas and will probably contact Hese sooner or later.

The only drawback of sending hardware to Finland or Denmark is that from Belgium the postal rates simply rocket as soon as destination is not a neighbouring country--United Kingdom, Germany, France or the Netherlands. So recommended repairers from one of these countries (plus Belgium and Luxembourg) are welcome as well. I suppose that positive feedback on Amibay is a good reference too.

I don't know if the Netherlands is more suitable, but there are a couple of guys there who do repairs too: http://www.robthenerd.com/amiga/repairers

Thanks! I had seen your list. What I am doing here is just gathering positive feedback to make my choice easier.

Are you still available for recapping and repairs?

I would advise tsb (from the Netherlands) on the Amiga.cafe (Dutch) forum. He is great and even has a few threads with his handy work.

There is also Bebek here in the UK who is a member on EAB. He recently recapped a board for me and top job it is too.

I am, but I can't imagine sending to the UK would be any better than sending it to those guys in The Netherlands, all of whom have a good reputation

I don't mean it is better, but it doesn't make any big difference if I send the hardware by post, because from Belgium postal rates are just the same (we have to enjoy it before Brexit), and London is not further away from here than northern cities of the Netherlands. But of course Glasgow is a longer way off, especially if I want to drive all the way to you (splash!).
