Super Samurai Kickstarter

Thoughts on this?

Good to see the names involved. Personally I would rather see a new Last Ninja

PC not really intresting.

In the Video they say "we pushed 16bit to the limit", thats Bullshit, First and Second Samurai was ok, but this was the limit i think this was the midle.

Man.. First Samurai is outstanding, and Second Samurai is probably the best programmed game on Amiga.
Moreover, its so good and professionally programmed that its loading times during game are incredibly short.. unlike practically 95 percent games from Psygnosis.

btw, I dont like the art of this 3D version.

Not supporting this, I would have had it been a new 2.5 version ala SOTB on the PS4, but looks like something from beginning of 3D era when people were working out how to make 3D platformers!

Plus another reason I don't buy games on Kickstarter, you can pledge to buy a boxed console version now for £50, but if it doesn't hit £110k (money still taken at £90k) they won't be produced but they still have £50 of your money...I'd rather wait until they complete the game, it gets reviewed and then I will decide!

Yeah agreed. A 2.5d version would have been much preferred and I'm really not digging the current style of this?

The game looks simplistic 3d wise, yes. I think they should have waited till they had a proper demo at least. The finished game may look much different but how would we know? Still given these guys pedigree they will probably pull off a fun game in the end.
--- the concept art looks nice though and in-game art is an ok style imo, We just need to see more of the game, action, moves, bosses etc.

Dunno, I guess I'll go for a digital dl pledge after I see some gameplay footage. If it's Devil
May Cry/Ninja Gaiden type of game, then I'm all in, despite the somewhat dated look.

Well maybe first samurai played like Stormlord with a sword but I believe the statement that they pushed the limit is almost true, way too much is going on at all times. Too much animation and plenty enemies attacking all the time. Graphics are 32 colors for sure, lots more with copper, and I could even see a planet in the background scrolling here and there

Not charming. It would have been better if they did try pixel art.

Most probably due to the lack of interest

It was predictable - with lack of progress and gameplay videos. They have only concept and that's not enough. People usually become more interested when they see progress in development, small demo version.
