Bunch of apps and educationals

I know applications never get any love and we're missing a lot of programs thanks to people being mainly interested in games and throwing apps to the garbage/overwriting disks So whenever I get a hold of a bunch of apps, I hope I have something that isn't available online.

Here's a list of stuff that I have that I have acquired with an A500 I picked up yesterday. Hopefully it's of use for preservation, especially the educational stuff which you can never find around.

Utilities:

- Aegis Animator 1.10
- Aegis Images Paint System 1.2G
- Wordperfect 4.1.11 with Spell+Thesaurus and Learn disk
- Wordperfect 4.1.9 with Spell+Thesaurus and Leran disk
- Wordperfect Print disk (dunno the version)
- EA Kaleidoscope (Polyscope) by Dan Silva + slideshow
- Deluxe Video
- Deluxe Paint
- Deluxe Paint II
- Deluxe Paint III V3.01
- Adventure Construction Set
- Digiview 4.0 dynamic hires 4096 color demo
- Newtek demo reel 3
- Maverick 5.01
- NIB 2.0
- Textcraft 1.0
- DigiView 4.0
- TV*Text
- Professional Page Demo Disk

Educational:
- Turtles Coloring World Tour (electric crayon)
- The Wonders Of The Animal Kingdom (Unicorn Software Company)

I'll dump these today and upload them if they are useful.

OK I uploaded to the FTP on my folder all this stuff, plus a few more I had forgotten to write about like EA Instant Music:

Folder is ~Uploads/Akira/Applications

Hopefully some of these aren't in TOSEC already. I think they all are. Seems like that Unicorn Soft disk is rare, but only if I had it fully boxed.
Hmmm seems like my version of Deluxe Paint III isn't on TOSEC so at least there's that.

Anyway, that's all from me.

[edit] seems like my versions of Wordperfect aren't in TOSEC and at least the Newtek Demo Reel 3 isn't either, so someone should put those in the collection

I uploaded the Demo Reel last year, but things aren't progressing fast when it comes to TOSEC/Applications…

That sucks man, we're losing a lot of software because of the hard focus on games. Applications need preservation too.

Ok, firstly thanks for the upload.
Secondly, i am not responsible for Application section, but i think i can speak for Crashdisk, because the facts are clearly.
He has done a lot of work in the past also in application section, check each new TOSEC release, there are a lot of additions!
So please dont undervalue the job of TOSEC guys(collecting, analyzing, catalogue and so on, there are thousands and thousands of ADFs floating around.

I'm not complaining about the work of those who care, or undervaluing their job, on the contrary, I'm very grateful.

But I have to generally critique the attitude in software conservation circles, usually mainly geared towards games and not applications/educational. Perhaps this is because it started by guys interested only in games consoles/arcade games.
Also as I said it was people in general not giving a shit about applications, I have seen people write over disks with no regards of what was in them because it wasn't games (coverdisks, PD library disks, applications, etc). This is the biggest problem, and why when now you see a disks collection, it's usually just games.

I'll keep helping whenever I can, to preserve application history.
