Thank you for the congratulation - it is appreciated And speaking of good work, I have started working on the 1.1 series -and updated to latest WinUAE code which will bring some nice improvements to FS-UAE

It seems something related to vsync.
What video card mounts on your pc?

I will make updates to 1.0 if there are critical issues with it, but otherwise I will focus on the 1.1 series.
Congratulations and well done,much appreciated

Have you checked with xev the keycode of the backspace key?
To me the problem persists, it is as if the client was going to loop in the search for a connection.

I can give you a hint?
When you start the search server, when you press the F12 key, you could enable or set the focus on the GUI so you can select and force the exit from emulation.

I hope i explained myself...

Thinking about it, this can probably happen if "connect" blocks for a very long time, say a firewall just drops the packets so you don't get connection refused or anything. I will improve this for the next version.

Hi -I found a problem where FS-UAE crashes when no configuration file exists (or another early warning is generated). I will update 1.0.2 shortly with a fix for this.

on my Mac, version 1.0.2 has some problems with the display on a Workbench when you move the mouse pointer. In that case, some of the scan lines in the are where the mouse was moved are displayed in a darker color.

Is this while using the scanline effect in FS-UAE?

good question: it happens when the scanline effect is on, if it is off, the screen stays as it is.

I can confirm there are some issues with FS-UAE 1.0 / buffers / scanlines. I am rewriting parts of the rendering code for FS-UAE 1.1 which should fix these kind of issues (and also be a bit more efficient as well).

If you want to, you can test the new development series, it has updated rendering code: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=811116#post811116 - I'm pretty sure this should fix your problem.

And generally, questions and feedback related to the development series can now be posted here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=63789

While support for the stable series is here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=63717

(or just create a new thread for your issue / request if you think it's appropriate).

Hi Frode,

Please let us know at any time if you wish this thread to be closed.

You might find it will be easier for you to keep track of bug reports, etc. once this thread has run its course.

Hi Frode,
thanks, I have replied on the development series thread you mentioned. Would it probably make more sense to put the issues into the Google Code issue tracker since you already created a project there ?
Best,
Wei-ju

Perhaps Google code works fine to keep track of Todo items, but discussion about features / issues are perhaps more useful here at EAB since more people can discover the discussions and can chime in...

Yes, I think it is time soon It is, as you point out, getting somewhat difficult to keep track of requests and issues in such large threads (especially keeping a specific discussion going...). So I'm wondering if I should ask people to create new threads in support.OtherUAE if they have requests or issues? If will be a bit easier to follow up those posts and maintain discussion in a separate threads. Of course, general feedback, "thanks", "works fine" and simple questions could be posted to the relevant stable/development thread.

Do you have any moderator tips / insights?

No, what you have suggested sounds like the best way to handle it. Whatever works best for you is the most important consideration.

When this thread is eventually closed (after all, it won't be a 'new' emulator for much longer ) you might wish to open a "FS-UAE general requests, suggestions and feedback" thread (or three!) to replace it.
