How to setup AmigaOS 4.1FE in 1080p 24/32bit?
Due to Picasso IV (with 4MB VRAM) limitation I've seen I can't set WB in 1080p 24bit fullwindow/screen... Is there a workaround?

Use ZIII UAEgfx with higher memory settings instead of Picasso IV and it's 4 MB limit.

Tried to copy also my old DEVS:Monitors/UAEgfx from the other HD with OS3.9 but it doesn't work: UAEgfx fake gfx card won't be listed in the available screenmodes. |

Right.. "Doesn't work"..
Switch off JIT (especially if 32-bit Windows, it is useless in PPC emulation anyway). Make sure Z3 RAM mapping mode is Real. More information required. |

Never mind, found how to make it work.
1. put in DEVS:Monitors the old UAEgfx monitor driver 2. set WinUAE 3.4.0+ "RTG Board": UAE Zorro III and only "Scale if smaller than display size settings" checked, refresh rate "Chipset", "Triple buffering", "Automatic". If I change any setting in 2, black screen. |

You have other problems, none of those options make any difference.

Only thing I changed to make it work was that. Previously I had in RTG Board:
It also didn't work without UAEgfx monitor driver in DEVS:Monitors because WB's ScreenMode didn't display 1080p 32bit resolutions for Picasso IV... Windows 10 x64 14393.693, Nvidia drivers 378.78 WHQL Last edited by hexaae; 12 March 2017 at 18:23. |

Tried the settings mentioned but cannot get UAEGFX working with AOS4.1FE.
Do not see any screenmodes besides PAL when using UAEGFX ZIII. JIT is disabled and ZIII RAM mapping mode is Real. The UAEGFX is available in DEVS:Monitors as described here. Monitor is listed in screenmode-prefs but no resolutions at all shown with this monitor. Inside the resolution tab nothing besides PAL is available. Does anybody know what I have to config in order to get UAEGFX working with AOS4? Last edited by Reth; 28 January 2018 at 01:46. |

@Reth
Hi, I used uaegfx because it has more memory and I can use video players etc. Do it this way I hope you can help. When you install OS4.1FE use picassoIV with winUAE as you normally do However, when installing the system from ISO or CD-ROM select AGA (not picasso IV) and continue to the end normally with your settings. Done this on reboot when asked if you want to select the screen answer "NO" Finish the installation until confirmation of the installation. At that point restart WinUAE by directly selecting "uaegfx" disable PicassoIV and its rom launching it in the window (not in full screen) The screen will look bad is not a problem this is normal! Keep your UAEgfx package on the desktop aside Drag it into WinUAE and copy by hand in devs / monitor / uaegfx and in libs the libraries and its drawer. This will be very slow you will have to be patient. Done this always restart in uaegfx Go to prefs / screenmode and select your preferred resolution not automatically and deselect the flag keep proportions then press test (this is important) At that point if everything is the way you prefer, save. Ok, you're done. This applies to pc screen resolutions! Excuse me if I do not do a video or else at the time I have various problems. I hope it is useful for you. |

@White:
Thank you. So I do have to reinstall AOS4.1FE? Which UAEGFX package did you use? I used the Picasso96.lha from Aminet as described in the instructions I provided above. Is using UAEGFX faster in displaying everything then PIV? |
