I like to hunt for rare stuff.
All this gems lies anywhere in the net.
The only thing i have to do is to dig out this gems.
I dont know about state of the demo.
The demo(playable) is part of a compilation-disk with 2 games.
Want to try it for yourself, uploading?

Happy shooting.

Preview version is just simple shooter, you can not select weapon, bait, terrain or other things. I don't know why you can shoot crows/ravens. There is no blood or corpses, animals just disappear (that is a good thing).

A correction for posterity; Worldwide Hunting WAS released. See http://www.thosewerethedays.de/items..._gun_kupke.jpg for a photo of the gun and the disk. There was another game as well. The box indicates as much (though you have to expand the photo to make out the text "2 Games + 1 Light Gun")

I contacted Martin Kupke who was involved in the development of the Golem light gun. Again, for posterity, here are the texts of his responses in chronological order:

4/12/2010
Yes, I'm one of the members of the formerly Kupke Computertechnik GmbH, but due to the fact that the company Commodore has been closed and the products for Amiga which we developed and produced are no longer required, we need to close our company, too. It was a great time with much fun, but since ~ 15 years (not sure, but in that range) I haven't done anything arround Amiga.

Hmmmm, that's not really true. Sometimes when I'm together with a good long term friend by a glass of beer, we refresh our memories for that good old times and even get out of our storage some old platines and other stuff. Yes, there is really some of these things available, just to remember.

I don't think that I can help you in finding a game for Amiga, sorry.
I was never a gamer and even had no interest in that.
My favourite was just the technique and electronic.

4/12/2010 (later)
that was in the mid cycle of the lifetime of Kupke Computertechnik....I guess ~ 1990. That was nothing special in electronics, it was more a really easy solution. The most complex technique was the lens which was needed to focus on the CRT to detect the correct position. Every time the pixel beam of the CRT monitor passed the diode in the lightgun just a trigger was given on a single wire to inform the software. Within the hardware registers of the chips (today I'm not sure anymore which one it was, but they all had nice names like agnus, denise and so on) was the position of the pixel position, so it was very easy to draw e.g. a cross line at that position. The lightgun itself was produced in the far east and didn't cost much. If you open the lightgun then you find also a speaker or similar heavy weight electronics, but this wasn't used and hasn't been connected. This means there was no wired connection for this parts, they have been only integrated to get more weight for the lightgun, to weight the lighgun.

I remember we had 2 external SW experts which came from austria or the swiss and they implemented a few games for the lightguns, but du to the fact that we developed HW and not SW after 3 or 4 games we stopped working in this direction. Some other professional companies took over this job and developed just the games in SW and referenced to the lightgun. I think today this would no longer be possible, in times with LED, PLASMA and TFT...there is no CRT beam. ;-)

It's not sure, but I have a good old contact who never agreed that amiga is dead. I think he still owns (minimum) one amiga and still has SW for this. If you are looking for something I could contact him and ask, but as I said I'm not sure.

Send a message via MSN to dlfrsilver
Yes ! Do you own an A1200 with a hard drive ?

We have a tool called RAWREAD, that can make extended ADF of most games.
Else we use WWARP and MFMWARP.

Thanks for answering !
