Sometimes protected tracks hold more than 0x1600 bytes which means that a floppy can hold over 1MB of data.
Turrican III crack had two disks. Original has one.
There are more examples like this.
And after that you had "one disked" cracks of "one disked" originals, just because the crackers managed to squeeze all the game on 880kb DOS format disk, sometimes to the expense of loading times.

Snow Bros, on the Amiga, is a corker of a conversion and is a helluva game, sporting a single disk, which is awesome. It not only came out on one disk, it also came out on the Commodore 64 (and many others ta boot)
Honourable mention must go to .... no - not Archon, that would be plain silly.
Silent Service (also a hit on c64 before Amiga).

I assume that NZS and NewZealandStory are the same game.

I would add HudsonHawk, SuperHang-on, SuperOff-Road.

Z-Out and R-Type are single disks games.. X-Out doesn't.

Anyone who says anything other than Turrican II is wrong. It is by far the most technically amazing game ever designed for the A500, and the fact that they managed to fit it on one disk is absolutely incredible.

I dunno, folks. I was blown away by BoneCruncher, and still play it today - replayability is massive with that game.

Also recently been playing a lot of StarGoose which is a great little vertical shmup/collect 'em up.

And what about PTC? I would challenge anyone to come up with a better centipede clone - and the music is just sublime.

Both games are one-disk affairs.
