EAB/Lemon Super League 2018: Round 3 Game Vote (Special Round - PD Games)
Starts: 00:01 February 4th Finishes: 23:59 February 17th

This is the vote for the first special round of the season. When voting you can only choose games that are listed as either Public Domain, Freeware, Shareware, Coverdisk full games, Promotional, or even hidden games. Basically anything considered non-commercial. The two games with the most votes will be played. If you are in doubt about a game's status, ask in the thread before you vote, or contact a Moderator. It will be sorted out before the end of voting.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winner of F1 will get double voting power for this round.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

Just noticed Renegades Deluxe "requires" 2 players. Should I change my vote?

Yes, Renegades Deluxe is ineligible.

So is Sqrxz 4 I think as that has extra lives in it which reappear when you die, so you can carry on forever. And it's rubbish anyway

They're all practically identical so yeah

It almost feels like it's one of those games where the score is there for decoration. And the lives counter, for that matter.

Keeping on voting only for recent games.

I wanted to vote for "Else we get Mad", but from what I played, I had the feeling finishing the game would always net you the exact same score, and I didn't want a round with lots of equal scores

I tried to go for more recent games, I think the trouble was finding enough that were suitable for the competition - like yourself, Else We Get Mad was under consideration but even though it's a really good little game, the scoring feels almost secondary and it wouldn't take much to reach the maximum. Good on you for voting for your own games though. Quasarius' scoring system is a good one for the competition.

We have played some recent games in the competition before - Downfall, Solid Gold and Blocky Skies have all been voted in. Hopefully we can get at least one more this time, but I didn't go for Alien Fish Finger as we've already played it (pre-revised edition) in 2011, and given that we've already played Pinball Dreams and now a slightly upgraded Vroom again this year, I fancied going for something completely different for the next round.
