Hi,

you need to install drivers for windows and also, red goes to 5v on 4 pin power adapter, black to ground on 4 pin power header. put a jumper across the left 2 pins, then white, then green. they are the only connections you need to program it. I bought the same programmer as you.

I'll post a pic

I soldered a header to the board to make life easier. once programmed remove the jumper on the left and move the s1 jumper to s0 like mine

just select the correct com port and that should be it. I used XP, if you are using vista, 7 or 8 than i am not sure about compatibility.

try a cold reboot and see if that fixes it and make sure the usb is plugged in b4 you open the program

Also... I would like to use it as DF1, external. Can I?

mine was 8 euro and took 7 days to come

it does work as df1 if you use in early startup and disable df0

if you boot to workbench you can change disk by pressing button and it loads next disk

You keep posting things more expensive than mines. That's ok if you have hurry, but I don't mind to wait.

Edit:

How's that? I didn't have to make an early startup with the HxC to use it as DF1. ¿? You sure?

Join the club. I tried mine when it arrived. Failed to connect until I used ATX power instead.

Then a friend came over with his that he could not program. I could not either. Just got the same error over and over. Tried mine again and that failed as well. Over the 500 (or so) attempts I made with mine again, I managed to connect once.

This was on Win8.1 x64

I then tried on Win7 x64. Same thing.

Then I got the tip to try with XP x86 and it works fine every 2nd attempt.
