Amstrad CPC R-Type remake
Im surprised I didnt come across this before now, but browsing through the latest issue of Retro Magazine I found this:
http://www.rtype.fr/Screenshots.html One of my favorite games so thought this was quite cool. The CPC has been getting some decent love lately. While predominantely a C64 man I always thought the CPC had untapped potential (graphically at least) so cool to see it getting a little attention recently. |

It's excellent, much better than the port the cpc got originally of the ace Speccy version. It even has a version of Chris Huelsbeck's Amiga title tune!
A monumental effort. One of the main reasons why I still follow old machines! |

 The final DSK was released 1 week after your post. Adding a new difficulty mode (MASTER) and some fix. |
