You can define your own key/button for taking screenshots in the Input panel. It is in the bottom part of the Input Target list (I'd say it is 85-90%) and is called Screenshot (File).

Very useful for competitions.
And if you want to contribute some screenshots to HOL

@ who

Are there any games you're not mega hot on from day 1?? I'm not very good at most vertical shooting games, how about you?

@lifeschool
Well there was Downfall..
Actually I'm pretty good at vertical shooters lol..

Seriously mate I don't know really.. I look forward to the start of a new round and usually put considerable time in on day 1. I'd rather put a big score up straight away then sneak one in later in the round.. I'm sure that would annoy you guys more.

I see premmiseth is starting to question my integrity.. That's fair enough, I'd possibly think the same if the tables were turned.
So for the record:
I have not, nor will I ever cheat in this competition.
Cheating would render competing a completely arduous and pointless task.
I play to win.. that is all

Thanks, in my experience it demoralises everyone (on all sides) if someone posts a massive score straight away. Even if I get a huge score, I let the friendly banter run on week one and post at the start of week two to give the top runners something to aim for.

Yes, this has been on my mind too Posting huge scores early and not following up for the rest of the round will always lead to this question in my mind. I like to see someone rise to the top, and back up their scores with lots more - if you can do that then thats fair play. Even if the player tries to beat their score and fails, it would only be fair play to post a screenshot of their final table to prove it was fair, over having just one post and then being silent for the whole round.

I agree. I've been in this compo for a few years now, I've never used savestates, and came 3rd (virtually) in the League and in the Knockout Cup two years in a row. This year is my best chance of a win, so I'm throwing all my last efforts at it this year. After fighting tooth and claw with premisseth (of my own team) gradually successful in most rounds, it did bug me that a late comer could jump in with wild scores not backed up with 'tries'. Next year I dont care who wins - I want to sit back and just enter for fun. This year is not fun, its a slog, so spare a thought for us all and have more tries to back up those scores.

37,700 - I'm learning...

PS: Just to clarify a few things as everybody can see two different screenshots. During the day I sit at the reception and I use WinUAE on WindozeXP. When I'm at the bar at night I play on my laptop with LinuxMint, so I use E-UAE to play.

No probs I see where your coming from.
I can understand how it can be demoralizing to see a large score straight off the bat.. actually that's exactly how I felt during the Arcade Pool round

Although I can't always tell what would be classed a 'demoralizing score' and tbh I don't think I should have to.

Besides, It's more of the 'debilitating score' that I'm interested in

Of course I'll take what you've said on board

Congrats, who. That's an amazing score.
Do the background animations mean anything or are they random? So far I have seen a submarine periscope, a fish jumping out of the water, Pacman, a worm, a spider and a bird flying through the sky.

Heres my best so far...

My highscore for IK+ was ~80k and I want to beat it this time. Still a long way to go, very rusty at this atm.

I'm having sound problems with the game. Music works fine but I can't turn on the sound effects, and those shoutings sampled from Enter the Dragon were always big part of fun with this game for me. Do I have to change something in WinUAE settings? I'm using WinUAE 2.0.1
