The Black Dragons

TBD seems to be an invalid abbreviation.
I have checked all sets in current Amiga games dat and cant see any abbreviation:
Barbarian - The Ultimate Warrior (1988)(Palace)[cr BS1 - TKT - INR][h ACU - TBD]
Batman - The Caped Crusader (1988)(Ocean)[cr VF - Beyonders][h TBD][t +1 Band]
Bionic Commando (1988)(GO!)[cr Defjam][h ACU - TBD][t +9 Defjam]
Oil Imperium v1.1e (1989)(reLINE)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr Dirty Rotten Crackers][h TBD]
Strip Poker II+ Data Disk - Donna & Sam (1988)(Anco)[cr BS1 - TKT][h TBD][data disk]

so all sets needs renaming.

humm thanks, i got that from http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=460328&postcount=94 so i was expecting it could be found in some set :\
there is also:
Code:
Commodore Amiga - Compilations - Games:
GOD Compact Disk (1991)(Global Over Dose)[m TBD]

Commodore Amiga - Games - Public Domain - [ADF]:
Wizard's World (19xx)(Matthews, M. - Furzer, D.)[cr QTX][h TBD]

Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]:
9 Lives (1990)(ARC)[cr Angels - Defjam][h TBD][t PNS]
ADS - Advanced Destroyer Simulator (1991)(Futura - U.S. Gold)[cr EP][h TBD]
Amazing Spider-Man, The (1990)(Empire)(M5)[cr TBD]
but maybe you don't have them and i suppose we shouldn't use the abbreviation if there is no proof of it

I have found the proof, not a good proof, its only a mouse pointer in:
GOD Compact Disk (1991)(Global Over Dose)[m TBD]

I dont know, why my Windows Search tool did not found this sets, strange, maybe i should buy an Amiga.
Now i have also checked this sets, but have not found any abbreviation, but we have the "pointer" proof.

Sorry Guys, been a little busy with other things these past 2/3 weeks . I'll need to backtrack somewhat to update my DB but that shouldn't take too long Then I'll be able to continue finding some abbreviations

I think the DB is fine, only nag I've got with it, it doesn't remember where you where last in it, whereas the spreadsheet does. So it means I'll probably have to backtrack a little further to make sure I haven't missed anything

One of Bippy's lists had the abbreviation BDI = Black Dragon Inc (The Black Dragons) http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=216809&postcount=4

Maybe Bippy should remove lists that are incorrect as it can become confusing when trying to sort out abbreviations. I believe there are at least 3 of these lists floating around on here somewhere.

Edit: Maybe his list should become a sticky, where his list can be updated there only and not posted around in other threads. It'll keep it nicely in one place and he can link it for anyone who needs to look at it

I'm thinking about adding/embedding screenshots to the DB of the abbreviation proof. I'm a little dubious about this as I don't really want to have a DB that so enormous that it'll end up being far too slow.

I know I've already linked them to the posts where proof has been given within the DB but if anything was to be deleted then the link and the proof will become void and meaningless, so the only other option is to have the proof of image embedded into the DB.

What do you guys think?

A sane idea yes, But dont add the pics into the DB itself. Blobs etc. are a shitty way to do it. Just put the fname/crc/etc.. into the DB and have the pics in a folder.

well the proofs are stored and used like that (fname, etc) in some things that i'm working on as you know, adding them to the DB itself is not great and will increase the size hugely (15KB * 5000 groups = 73MB just in images), even if you just use amiga groups (1000+) it may became huge, don't know a lot about excel or what you are using right now but maybe you can store the filename like mr_0rga5m said in a cell and if the file is present in images\filename display it (or make a link for it, i don't know).

It's OK my idea was going to create a DB of a whopping size, so I'll just folder them and link them to the DB.

B-Sum Crew

B-Sum Crew = BSC
is used in current Amiga games release.
This group has made some AGA-fixes
This are the sets:

Genghis Khan (1991)(Infogrames)(Disk 1 of 2)[f AGA B-Sum Crew]
Rebel Charge at Chickamauga (1987)(SSI)[f AGA]
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (1989)(KOEI)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr][f AGA BSC][h Aeon]

I have not a real good proof.
"BSC" is used inside a txt-file in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" set.

....by the way
Romance of the Three Kingdoms (1989)(KOEI)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr][f AGA BSC][h Aeon]
is as always bad renamed.
its "Romance of the Three Kingdoms II"

screenshot: valid????

well it's not perfect but if there is any better proof it will be accepted for now, is always good to have an ingame shot so if you later find one don't forget about it

i guess this set (Storm Across Europe - The War in Europe - 1939-45 v1.0 (1990)(SSI)[cr PNA][f BSC]) is also from them, will add your info + image now, thanks again
