Dune
DUNE not Dune 2! One of my favorite games ive just started playing it again on my Amiga 1200.I can play it of the disc's no problem but when i install it on the hard drive it loads up with no picture or just a complete mess. ive un-installed it the tryed again still no good. Any idea anybody?

I think you need more memory for hard drive version as it will load all data at once.

Also, try installing it i ROOT (DH1: ). No drawers.

If you mean the standard hard drive installation (not WHDload) it should work on an A1200 as I managed to do so back in the day.
Try to disable CPU caches and set the chipset to Original in the Early Startup (press and hold both left and right mouse buttons when the A1200 is booting). |

TUDE is a great degrader to get these old games to work. Just RTFM before using it
 . Greater even tool coupled with Reboot&Start !

I first thought it could be a problem because it wasnt made for the A1200 but for the A500 but it shouldnt make a difference really.I have no problems with Dune 2 loading of the HD or any other game for that matter.The game seems to load up fine its just the graphiks what are all muddled up when loaded of the hd... My Amiga is a Amiga Technologies A1200 3.1 with original 135MB HD

dune not works fine from hardisk on kickstart 3.0+
gfx are corrupted in the intro, however no gfx corruption during the game |
