sorry to read that my friend,
you could always try posting a "Want To Buy" on www.amibay.com it may well increase your chances of finding one. |

Why not buy new? I know it is more money, but you can get the latest version and a warranty...
I have seen second hand ones for sale that have needed the mach chips upgraded... |

Hi Zetro i have already posted on Wanted on ami bay and keeping an eye on flea bay as well!
DDNI, Reason for looking for second hand is the price obviously and asking you guys on EAB i know i will get a straight and honest response! Also explain about the mach chips (being a bit dense here lol) can these be upgraded??? What difference do they make? |

Well the items i was looking to use were a Voodoo 3 and Realtek Network Card as i am trying to get the miggy onto the net and looking to play Napalm and Foundation with P96 Resoultions. Maybe looking at a a Sound card in due course.
Would the boards with your version of the mach chips be upto the job? |

You should look for a Mediator with at least v1.26 Machs + MMCD
We are shipping Mediators with the latest v1.28 at the moment. |

@Paradroid
I believe the mach chips are keyed to the software, so for some CD driver updates, you may need a mach chip update? I am not to sure to be honest. |

if you do find one, ask what colour dots are on the mach chips?
then contact amigakit he will then be able to tell you if they need upgrading to the later one`s or not. |

you need the latest mach chips to correct bugs AND make newer drivers to work.
in fact, it is almost mandatory to have the latest versions of both... unless you want to suffer |
