Disciples of Steel

This game is not mentioned in HOL, I don't know whether the Amiga version was canned. This game was released for DOS, but here an advert says its for Amiga also. It was found in an Amiga Action magazine.

Its called Disciples of Steel from Megasoft Entertainment, the DOS version was rated one of the Worst RPG's of all time.

Worst RPG of all times? Sounds interesting
Would be nice if you could make a hi-res scan of the ad Dizzy

By pure coincidence I came across this advert today too when I was scanning AA28 for AMR. A higher res advert is now online on AMR (page 22) for future reference.

It looks like this game was probably only released for ST and PC.

"As members of the DOS guild, you can control up to 8 characters"

... sounds like fun with filenames to me

As I read on Home of the Underdogs,

Quote:
Despite an excellent character creation system and the novel combat module that strategy fans will find interesting, the game simply promises a lot more than it delivers. The user interface, filled with rows of icons that are hard to recognize, is so confusing (with quirky mouse support) that it's almost unplayable. Even if you can tolerate the interface, you don't have much to look forward to except the typical "kill the monster and take the treasure" scenario, over and over and over again. Banal plot and mundane monsters add insult to the injury. Disciples of Steel will appeal only to those with infinite patience—and that’s very few of us. Stay away if you can.
Uhm... there so few time to play good games... even if I like obscure games I think I will not try it anyway :|
