HardFile Maximum File Size

What is the maximum Hard File Size to install OS4 on WinUAE?
There is a difference Use between a UAE Device (uaehf.device) And Accelerator Cyberstorm PPC (cybppc).
I ask this because I created a bigger hardfile (6 Giga) to install OS4.1, and I'm getting the Guru when I start the new Hardfile created, But I do not know if this depends on the size hardfile or other factor.

If it crashes before OS4 boot color changes, it probably is pure m68k OS3.x 4G limit issue.

RDB installed filesystem MUST be >4G capable if boot partition is not fully inside first 4G.

I don't know which access modes CSPPC SCSI driver supports. I assume it supports TD64 but not necessarily NSD. DirectSCSI is guaranteed to be fully supported.

You need to find matching RDB installed filesystem.

(In other words, not my problem )

Then I explain the quick procedure that I wanted to try:

OS4.1 started my system on Hard File (uae.device), added a second Hard File 6 Giga virgin, with HDToolBox I initialized the hard 6 Giga files, and I created:

- First partition (SFS) from 2 Giga for the system
- Second Partition (SFS) 3,5 Giga per from 2 Giga for the Dati
- Third Partition (SFS) 500 Mega for the SWAP

Restart System, i quickly formatted partitions, and with DOpus 4 I copied the contents of the old system to the new Hardfile (first partition). I try to start the new system and immediately exits Guru (first color)

I also tried installing with the OS4.1 CD, but everything hangs just start the installation!
Now let me try to install from a CD with a whole based configuration Accelerator Cyberstorm PPC (cybppc).

You forgot to put 68k SFS into the RDB of the new hardfile.

Hello thomas thanks for your intervention, you're referring to the creation of hardfile WinUAE (see screenshot), If so I have not forgotten HDToolBox otherwise would not have seen unless other procedure.

No, I mean in HDToolbox. If you use a foreign file system, you have to use the add/update page to add it to the harddisk.
