[Found: Billard] Trying to remember the name of an old amiga game
Hi,
for years I have been trying to remember the name of an old PD (I think it was PD/homebrew anyway but it might have been a full boxed release and I only had the floppy, I got it second hand) pool (or maybe snooker?) game on the Amiga. The loading/title screen I'm sure had a polar bear playing pool/snooker and there was a sampled, upbeat saxophone music track playing. I know that's in ridiculously vague but if anyone has any ideas that would be great. I've trawled Lemon amiga and lists of PD games for ages trying to spot it but no luck so far. Sadly I don't remember anything about the actual game I used to just load it to listen to the music! Edit: BTW I have also looked at the HOL pool, snooker and billiard games and it isn't one of those sadly. Thanks in advance, G Last edited by Greenman; 16 January 2018 at 19:08. I managed to dig out the disk...
... I managed to get over to my parents and find the disk in the loft! As expected lots of read errors later I was only able to recover a couple of files. A text file which was obviously the menu says
PRESENTING PLAYBOY COMPILATION DISK NO 3 [F1].............................PICK OUT [F2].............................MONOPOLY DELUXE [F3].............................POOL So the game I am trying to remember must be "pool" loaded with F3. I did manage to get a GFX directory off with 3 files in it but DPaint won't load them. I can't see to find anything on google for Playboy compilation disk no 3 either. Does anyone know anything about this disk and the pool game? In a couple of days when I have more time I'm going to try getting more files of and trying to open the images in some other programs/editors. Thanks in advance for any help. |

lilalurl thank you so much, yes that's definitely it!!! Amazing!
Thanks also Retro-Nerd, that might also be the correct game but I can only remember the title screen I have downloaded it so will give it a go in a couple of days when I get some amiga time again. Thanks everyone who spent time thinking about this! I'll update the thread as found. |
