Those tiny keyboard screws, where to find?

Hi! I have a couple of rusted keyboard screws in my Amiga 600. They're those super-tiny screws that hold the membrane between the metal bottom and the plastic top of the keyboard "box" (sorry for my vocabulary, non-english person warning).

What are those screws called or labeled, and does anyone sell them?

Superrune is actually after the roughly 30 odd screws that hold the keyboard assembly including the keyboard metal back plate and membrane to the plastic plate holding the key assemblies.

I have those case screws on order, but they're not the ones. Yep, you're right @jlin_au - I'm looking for the keyboard assembly screws. Strange none of the Amiga stores have them in their inventory. I guess they rarely get hit by rust or corrosion!

The only option other than grabbing a dead 600 from fleabay is the guy who tears amigas apart, again on ebay! That chap will defo have some of what you are searching for

Also how bad are your screws rusted? I kind of make it a mission to clean up original screws, no matter how anal it sounds but I have had very good success getting these old things looking presentable, its just a faff and time consuming.

For your existing screws check the length of the shaft from the base of the head (not the top) to the tip of the screw. If it is 6mm then you need buy the M2 x6 screws. If 4mm buy the M2x4 screws. ... etc.

Please note that if the M2 screw shaft is too thick then you need M1.8 or smaller screws instead.

The screws used in my Amiga 1200 keyboard appear to be M1.8 x4 ones as the diameter of the screw shaft is about 1.8mm and the shaft length below the screw head is about 4mm as measured with a digital micrometer. The screw head diameter is about 3.1 mm

Other options for "cleaning" the existing rust affected screws would be to soak them in
o "rust converter" solution to convert the rust to an insoluble iron phosphate layer that will prevent further rust
o use "CLR" to remove the rust

Thanks for your answers! I threw out the rusted screw after a spending many hours on RF shield scrubbing, I was just sick of rust removal

I'll measure my screws and see which ones match up to mine. Cheers!!
