Image slightly shifted to the left

Hi Guys,

I have recently bought an Amiga 600.

I also still had an RBG->Scart cable (AmigaKit) and I bought a second hand LCD screen.

Unfortunately the image is somewhat shifted to the left. This happens in all games, workbench and even when I set the tv's aspect ratio to 4:3.
I'm always missing about 2cm of image on the left side. You also notice the right hand slide bar in Workbench is shifted to the left, with a large grey area next to it, and about 2 cm of black space (indicated by the red arrow).

The tv does not have a manual image shifting option, like the old crt's had in their day.

Strange thing though is, if I use the composite cable, the image is perfectly centered. But, the quality of composite is so much worse than rgb I would not prefer it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

The tv is a Panasonic VIERA LCD-TV TX-26LX70F

You can adjust the position using the `Over scan` tool in the `Prefs` Drawer which should cure that but I don't see how you can do it for games as you have no means of adjustment on the Monitor

That's a bummer. I intend to buy a Gotek USB floppy emulator so I can have all the Amiga games on 1 USB card. It would be very sorry if all games were shifted like this.

Darn.

Hi.

Our main TV is TX-32 and I had a similar thing. I had to go into the Service Menu of the TV and shift the screen over. The settings are per input so I only affected the SCART input.

This problem seems to have been around for donkeys years. My Panny 14" CRT also is shifted with PlayStation ect.
If only TV's could move the picture easily like PC monitors!

How did you get into the Service Menu?

I have been looking around a lot to find the answer for this tv, but I cannot find it. I also cannot find anything in the regular menu's that would hint a 'service menu'.

Extra note: I have also hooked on a pc to this tv, and according to the manual it can support up to 1366x768 resolution. If I set my pc (which is connected via the VGA connector) I get the same the same shifted image as with A600.
