So few demos EXEs

Hi to all

This is not a critic, just something i spotted building ADA

In my demoscene collection there are more than 17.000 EXEs

In TOSEC\DEMOS\DEMOS - VARIOUS - EXE there are only 1.054 files

Why this big difference ?

What do you think, lack of motivation probably

Thanks in advance, chip

There are several reasons for this:
- There is no longer an archivist to maintain these databases
- The support is very limited because it only concerns executables, which automatically excludes all demos that need additional data to work
- The other consequence is that additional information content (nfo, txt, iff, and others) is also excluded
- A large part of the demos are already present in TOSEC ADF in pack or standalone
- I find Kestra more sufficient and useful than TOSEC Exe databases
- The community does not express a need on this topic...
There would surely be more to say but it's already not bad

Probably the most important reason is that community does not express a need

As you say, we have already Janeway as source for the various exes around

The only reservation I have about sites, no matter how good they are, is that they can disappear, like BTTR for example...
