Amiga Game on Most Disks?

so i was wondering, which amiga game came on the highest number of disks.. and.. did anyone go through whichever game it is, and finish it? (how long did it take to finish?)

Funny how wrong one can understand a question.

I thought you were wondering what Amiga game is featured on most different disks out there, so I was already going through numerous late 80s game/util compilations (Astronut / Ikari / BSA) in my mind and was going to throw in an answer like 'Virus', 'Buggy Boy' or 'Carrier Command' all of which take around 200kb of disk space

I was about to ask, how did they make any money from it? Then I converted the price tag - it would have cost £52 in 1995 which equates to £93.36 now!

A top shelf magazine might have been a better option.

Disk swapping when having two disk drives never would've been such a big problem, but some games never managed to distribute the data to the disks in a smart way from the user's point of view (excluding those 3-disk games that had just the intro on disk 1).

This resulted in a situation where you smartly had disk 2 ready in your external drive, but the game would go on and ask for disk 3 instead - and after that what ever disk you remove from either drive, the game would surely want in a few seconds.

It's a shame Amiga owners were so slow to get hard drives - by 1992 or so most PC adventures, strategy games and sims were hard to convert to be reasonable from floppies, hence the almost-total loss of American Amiga games by late 1992. For the A600 and A1200 at least, it wasn't an expensive or difficult addition - with hindsight, all owners of those machine should have had one.

To take the question in a slightly different direction, which games had the most disks that HAD to be played from floppies, that weren't hard-drive installable? I gather Bump 'N' Burn came on six disks and wasn't hard-drive installable, can that figure be beaten?

Since DISK does not exactly refer to floppies.... Nightlong has do be the winner with a triple CD set. Anything else gone above 600 MB?

Wrong, DISK refers to the shorter version of DISKETTE, commonly known as the Floppy Disk! All CD's are referred to as a COMPACT DISC so not related to DISK!!

As someone mention, Beneath A Steel Sky on 15 disks. It's 2nd place.
3rd place goes to Rise of the Robots AGA on 13 disks.

Rise of the Robots does not count, it is not a game, it is a waste of human resources, time and motivation and an example of what happens when you let marketing departments take over a company.
