Is it possible to crunch a module

Is it possible to crunch a modules so it's still a playable protracker module?

I have tried several crunching tools but they all mess up the samples.

Thanks

Volt.

It's possible to crunch a module using a tracker packer type tool. To replay modules that are crunched like that requires play back using the replayer that came with the tool that did the crunching.

I've used a couple of tracker packers successfully:

ProRunner2.0 and ThePlayer6.1a

Both replayers are fast but ThePlayer will give you better compression ratios and I personally prefer that one these days so I tend to only use that now.

I should mention that once you've compressed the modules they won't then play back natively in ProTracker.

I think ProTracker or FileMaster can play modules compressed with PowerPacker.

I didn't know that - thanks for the info

EDIT: I confirmed this with a test - ProTracker recognises that the module has been crunched with PowerPacker and attempts to decrunch it.

Module didn't then play correctly though so I assume it probably only works with the right combination of ProTracker and Powerpacker versions.
