They are always set read only and marked with an *
Is it save to set them rw in the file manually? then it works

I cant find any contents in helps or FAQs about that

ps: it doesnt matter what kind of FS (fat32/NTFS)

i forgot WINuae 1.5.3 in 1.5.0 it works

Hi tero,

that's indeed strange. So when you add them the 'R/W' property is set to 'No'? Since you say it also happens with FAT32 partitions ti can't be a problem with NTFS rights. I just tried it here with the latest beta and it worked. Which OS do you use?

I also use WinXP. My folder-hardrives are also marked with an '*', but set to R/W by default. Just to sort things out : You you have administrative rights or do you use a limited profile?

Think I know where you problem was. If you open Folder options from the current folder and everything is Write protected, including the folder, you can apply that to to all folders, which also includes newly created folders too.

So every time you create a new folder everything is write protected, but, I can't see how it does this with the actual files but then again, it may auto protect them 'cause of this.

Anyway, nice to hear you're up and running properly

it's a pleasure to be here - THX
TCD too - you're fast in helping answers

to the problem:
I use the 'Apply to all' option often but in this case
it happened only with WinUAE v1.5.3
1.5.0 and the beta9 works well
