yeah I'm definitely picking this one up at some point in time - I never did get around to playing the original. It looks like it is lots of classic fun.

It's also on GoG. (And if you had already bought it, you get the update for free!!!)

I got the free update, installed it and got like 15fps on a Quad Core@3.2Ghz / GTX 780 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD!! Turned off Vsync and now plays about 40-45fps, did they even bother optimising anything? There's also issues with cutscenes inside buildings, the walls just disappear so you can see outside plus the camera won't stick at the same height outside, keeps zooming down if cutter gets close to a building or object!
It also doesn't look any different from the hi-res mod that was released! Glad this was free otherwise i'd be pretty annoyed with it! |

Unless this enhanced version was built from scratch I don's see any reason in playing it, the original looked and played great for the time it was released, but this to me looks awkward, like a corpse that's been dug up and had make-up stuck on it..The original still looks good coming out of a CRT, which it was designed for. You can slap on all the texture upgrades you like, but the foundation it was built on will be forever frozen at 1999.
Just my opinion of course, seems lots of people are liking it. |

Solution: create a profile for the game and turn off vsync for that specific game. |

Not an Arma fan and not had this issue before! Most stuff with Vsync is capped at 60fps due to my 60Hz monitor, this game seems to think i'm playing on a 15Hz monitor!!
