FL now has a VFX tracker plugin being developed for it, aiming for FL13's release

Here is my timeline:

You could probably pinpont the exact year of the first two trackers I used by searching amr.abime.net, but I cannot be bothered. I think they were:

'92? Noisetracker (Amiga Format Coverdisk)
'94? OctaMED 5 (CU Amiga Coverdisk)

'00 Buzz (Windows)
'01 OctaMED 5
'03 MusicLine Editor
'03 AHX
'05 OctaMED 5
'07 AHX+OctaMED 5
'17 HivelyTracker+MilkyTracker (Linux)

As you can see there are a few different patterns which have emerged. Also I have occasionally used MPT, but if a shit could take a shit, then MPT would be the shit of that shit's shit, and therefore is not worthy of a mention in this timeline.

Sorry for using the s word so much, but honestly I cannot think of how else I could possibly describe ModPlugTracker, especially in the years since it went open source.

"Amiga age" - ProTracker (around 1992)
"Pentium 90 age" - FastTracker II
"AMD K6-2 300 age" - Renoise (since the startup) up until V2.8 - Still using it.
"Modern PC age" - Bitwig, now using the new V2. Working on a track for Revision. Must say that it's a real competitor to Renoise, but nothing really beats the tracker

Also played around with ZTracker, OctaMED for midi-controlling hardware synths on amiga, Jeskola buzz and some other oldskool stuff...

Since 1992 or somewhere around that time:
-Protracker something on Atari ST(yuch, fortunately not for long)
-Protracker 2.3 and 3.15, some random midi messing with Octamed
-FastTracker II

Then I used some modern software for a while -> back to trackers later

And modern trackers I use now are:
-Goattracker
-Madtracker
-Deflemask
